Fissures are a common condition of the anus and anal canal. An Anal fissure is a cut or tear occurring in the anus (the opening through which stool passes out of the body) that extends upwards into the anal canal. Fissures usually cause pain during bowel movements, which often becomes severe. Anal fissure is the most common cause of rectal bleeding in infancy.
Anal fissures occur in the specialized tissue that lines the anus and anal canal, called anoderm. At a line just inside the anus (referred to as the anal verge or intersphincteric groove) the skin (dermis) of the inner buttocks changes to anoderm. Unlike skin, anoderm has no hairs, sweat glands, or sebaceous (oil) glands and contains a larger number of sensory nerves that sense light touch and pain. (The abundance of nerves explains why anal fissures are so painful.) The hairless, gland-less, extremely sensitive anoderm continues for the entire length of the anal canal until it meets the demarcating line for the rectum, called the dentate line.
They are primarily caused by trauma. However several non-traumatic diseases are also associated with anal fissures, which may be acute or chronic.
The human digestive system is responsible for the process of digestion. One such important process is the elimination stage which involves the removal of undigested food and waste products from the body. Chakra therapy is based on the belief that due to your own rigidity, past experiences and past belief systems you refuse to let go / release all that which is wasteful and junk, which hinders / blocks the normal process of life.
While they can be painful and debilitating, piles do not usually pose any ongoing threat to health and can be self-managed up to a certain level. If a complication develops, such as a fistula, this can become serious.
Imbalanced Chakra related to Fissures
The Chakra associated with Fissures is the Muladhara Chakra. This Chakra is located at the base of the spine where the adrenal endocrine gland is positioned. This gland secretes hormones that regulate a lot of bodily functions and controls physical growth, melanin production, pain relief etc. They modulate the functioning of every tissue, organ and gland in your body to maintain homeostasis during stress and keep you alive. They also have huge effect on the way you think and feel. When the Muladhara Chakra is optimally active or energized, you have a strong connection with your family and friends. As a result, you feel wanted and loved and you feel a sense of belonging. You are content with your body and are confident with money, managing it well and feel you are always having enough for what you need and want.
